Candy Corn

Hello All!!! TGIF, been a busy week!
When I received my LeaLac-B plate last week, the "Princess" was with me.  I had been looking at this one image and I thought it looked like candy corn, so I decided to check with her and see if I was crazy or not!! The conversation went like this....
Me: Teggie, what does this look like?
Princess: Candy corn, duh!
Okay, once it was confirmed that I was not crazy , I decided to try it today.
Cast Of Characters.....

Doesn't this look like candy corn??????
I started with a base coat of SC Black on Black and then stamped this image using Konad Special White...

Now for the tedious part...I used a very small dotting tool to fill in the areas with the colors of candy corn to try to make it look like this... I got this image from Wikapedia's free images...

This is how the final product turned out, it looks better IRL, you can't see the areas that I got out of the lines!! Macro is not kind  LOL!!!

For a first attempt, I don't think it turned out too bad,I will do this again during the holiday season.  Hope you liked it....have a blessed day......Jackie

Silver and Gold

Good Morning All...hope everyone had an awesome weekend!!   I gave my nails a break over the holiday.....they were happy to be naked for a couple of days  :)
Cast Of Characters.....

After the base of Orly Wild Wisteria , I stamped with Julep Leighton and Maybelline Color Show Bold Gold.  The image plate used was my new LeaLac-B....

I like the finished product except that the beauty of the Wild Wisteria was lost in the stamping , it is such a gorgeous shade  :(

Have a blessed day...........Jackie

Adventures in Stamping Challenge-Something I "Learnt" From AIS

Hello All.....gorgeous Sunday here, time for the challenge in AIS.  Today's mani is based on something that I "learnt" from the members of AIS.......there is soooo much that it is hard to  tell them all!!!
I learned from the basics up, I joined shortly after my "addiction" started  :)    I learned about base/top coats, cleaning up, cuticle care, different polishes , the polish addicts terminology,  sooooo much.
The thing that I love the most that I "learnt" was how to do a gradient mani, the member  most responsible for this was Laurie of Dressed Up Digits ,  she does the most Awesome gradients, check her out if you haven't already!!
Now down to business....The Cast of Characters....

 The base....

 Now the gradient....

And the final product, which I LOVE........

Hope you like it, thanks for letting me ramble today, have a blessed day......Jackie

LeaLac-B

Good Morning All!!  I received my LeaLac-B plate on Thursday!!!   I love this IP, BUT.... the images are HUGE!!!!  I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to use them, but I played around a bit and came up with a mani  :)   This plate is perfect for those of you with large, wide nails.....unfortunately, I don't have either.....I could just put polish on half of the image and cover my nail!!! You can get the IP's here....

Cast of Characters.....

I started with a base coat of CG Liquid Leather, I hadn't used this in awhile, forgot how much I love it!!!
I decided to try to make the colors "pop" more by doing something that I had seen mentioned on AIS.  Start with a layer of white on your IP, scrape it off, and then add your color and scrape again and stamp.   I think it made a difference!!
Here is the finished product...I also used PicMonkey to edit the ugly areas of my cuticles, they are mad at me again   :(

I am sold on the PicMonkey for those little areas that you don't see when taking your pics!!!  Hope you like this.....have a blessed day  :)           Jackie
