Week 16 of 52 Week Challenge, Dotticure

Good Evening All, I am behind on my 52 Week Challenge, so I decided to do one tonight...the Dotticure.
 I had this bright idea to do a tone on tone dotticure, sounds good right???  But it was hard to see with a top coat, so I matted it.  See what you think.....

With a fast dry top coat....hard to see isn't it!!!

Now with a matte coat.....

I decided that I liked the matted one...what about you???

Easter Stained Glass

Happy Easter to All, if you do not celebrate this holiday, then Happy Sunday!
This Mani  has a twofold purpose...for week 15 of  the 52 Week Challenge/Easter and for The Purple Crumpet Fairy Challenge/a mani representing light.
I was trying to achieve the look of a stained glass window that I remember from my childhood in church.

I have had this idea for awhile  and then I saw that  Debbie of The Crumpet had done about the same thing...I guess great minds think alike!!!

I liked it!!!  I want to wish everyone a Happy and Blessed Easter!!!

52 Week Challenge, Week 14, Striped Mani

Hello All, I hope everyone has been having a good saturday!!  I hope things for me are getting back to "normal"...whatever that is! I am back on track for posting and viewing and commenting on everyone's blogs....I have missed it  :(
Today I have week 14 of the challenge , a striped mani.  I did one that was an absolute failure, so this is my second attempt!  My base coat was SC Amethyst and I used 3 colors to hand stripe...it is hard to make straight lines!!!

52 Week Challenge, Week 13, Ruffian...stamped!

Good Evening All, I thought I had better do Week 13 of the 52 Week Challenge, since tomorrow starts Week 14!!!!  I DO NOT LIKE RUFFIAN MANI'S....they just are not for me   :(
The base coat was CG  For Audrey, and stamped with SC Black on Black...and it streaked with the top coat  :(

52 Week Challenge,Week 12, Skittle Mani

Wow, look at me, 2 posts in one day!!!  I decided to go ahead and do my challenge mani for the 52 Week Challenge.  This is week 12, Skittle.
The Cast of Characters for this was big!! I went with more of a "spring " theme.

Does anyone else have problems with the lighter shades of a creme looking  thick after only 2 coats?  It could just be the operator , I guess  :)

So, as usual, I HAD to stamp it!! I used the dots on the CH6 IP, and white Art Deco to stamp with.

And the finished product...

Week 11 of 52 Week Challenge....St Patrick's Day Mani

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!  I hope everyone is having fun and being safe  :)
This is week 11 of The 52 Week Challenge...a St .Patricks Day Mani.  I am not much on this holiday, just never got into it... so I opted to use the colors of the holiday.

I used these and some painters tape, I have found that it works great, and did a tape mani!!

52 Week Challenge...Week 10, Polka Dot Mani

Good Morning All!!!  And another week begins.....hope this one is better than last week for me  :)
The 52 Week Challenge mani for this week is polka dots.
I chose a base coat of Confetti Lonesome Dove.  For the dots the following was used: WnW Ebony Hates Chris, WnW Megalast Wet Cement, and KleanColor in Metallic Yellow and Metallic Brown.

A large gathering for this one!!

52 Week Challenge, Corset Mani Week 8

Good Morning All, I hope that everyone had a great weekend....mine was "okay".   I did my week 8 mani...a corset.  I was dragging my feet ...I did not want to do this one..I am NOT good at free hand art  :(
So I made myself do it, I started with a base coat of a polish that my daughter, "The Queen", gave me for Christmas...China Glaze Swing Baby, a gold  that was so easy to apply that it scared me!!!
 Then I took WnW Night Prowl and put a strip down the middle, and added my laces and whatnot with Art Deco  in white and gold.  I know I would not wear this out in public...just don't like it  :(

Week 6 of The 52 Week Challenge, Half Moon Mani

Hello All, hope everyone is having a great Sunday!!  I have not posted in a few days because the cord to my camera BROKE!!!!  I am having withdrawl...:(
My daughter came into town and happen to have her camera and took a pic of todays mani....Thank you Lauren!!!
I used Orly Au Champagne for the base coat.  I wanted something alittle different, so I stamped the lower portion of my nails with RA113 and Konad Black Special Polish.  Used my little guide and painted the upper portion with Sinful Colors Black on Black, added Sally Hansen Insta-Dri top coat and was done!!!
Hope you like it, sorry it the pic is not the best.  My new cord should be here the end of next week...if I make it that long  :(

Sorry about the poor clean up, I was rushing to finish so I could get a pic.  :(  The lighting also made it look like it was chipped. :(

Week 5, Newspaper Mani

Hello All, I hope that everyone had a great Monday!!
This is week 5 of the 52 Week Challenge...Newspaper Mani.  I don't know why I was dreading this one so much.  I tried it and it didn't work, then I realized that I had put a topcoat on so the newspaper would not transfer!!!  The second time it was a go, and soooo easy!!
I got my first Confetti polish today and used it, shade Cherries Jubilee.  I couldn't get a good photo of the shade, it is so pretty  :)

I did add a coat of Northern Lights to liven it up!!

Week 4 Plaid Mani

Hello All...today is the 4th week of the 52 Week Challenge...a plaid mani.  I cringed because I am not good at freehand work :(     So I went to videos on the web and did some research.
I painted my nails with a clear base coat and then 2 coats of WnW Noctournal, a deep, almost black blue.
I got out my Art Deco in white and my acrylic paint in lavender.  I opted to just do tips, I thought plaid completely covering my nails would have been too much for me !!!!

 They look much better far away...LOL.
Next week is Newspaper mani....back to the web  :(
I am just 3 followers from my first giveaway!!!  Does anyone out there have any suggestions on how to run it??  I want to make it VERY simple.  I would greatly appreciate any input.  Have a great Sunday, thank you for coming by my little spot. :)

Week 3, Color Block

Good Evening All.  Hope everyone had a good Sunday.  I had sooo much trouble trying to get a mani, that I liked, for this week.  What I finally did was a base coat of China Glaze Liquid Leather .   I used tape to make the "blocks", and painted with Pure Ice French Kiss.  Then I proceeded to smudge up the pinky :(
Today was just not a good day for manis!!!
But on a good note, I am only 15 followers away from my first giveaway!!  I am excited and have already collected some things. :)  :)

WEEK TWO OF 52 WEEK CHALLENGE...French Tip...FAIL :(

Hello all!!  Here is my week 2 mani for the challenge...a french tip....fail:(   It is not the look I was going for.
I painted my nails with a no name franken and then used a Sally Hansen Color Quik Pen in Gold Chrome for the tip.  My daughter picked up a Sally Hansen gift box on clearance at Walgreens for $5.00, and I could not believe all the things that were in it...but that is another story for another time  :)
