Happy New Year's Mani

I hope everyone is ready for the "big" night!!  Mine will consist of watching the "Twilight Zone" marathon and eating my black eyed peas at midnight!!!
I wanted a mani  without alot of sparkle , but still said happy new years.
I put on my usual clear base coat and then used  2 coats of  Finger Paints Where Art Renoir?.  I tried to use this polish a long time ago, and HATED  it.  It is thick and hard to apply. So , I decided to take my time and wait awhile between coats.  That worked , and now I like it!!!
I recieved my first Julep Maven box last week and decided to stamp with  one of the polishes that I got, which was Leighton.  It is good for stamping, I am not sure that I , personally, would wear it alone, alittle much for me.
I used  IP Red Angel 110...I love this particular plate.
I placed a dot of Pure Ice Beware in the center of the swirl, and SV and VOILA!! my New Years Eve mani.
Hope you like it.  May everyone be safe tonight, have a good time, and have a blessed 2012.

Life Happens

As the saying goes "life happens", and it happened to me this week :(  Alot of stressful "stuff"  and alot of changes for the new year, so I decided that I had to get back on the horse and start posting again.  Sorry that I have been so sporadic lately.

I painted my nails last night with Sinful Colors Nirvana and forgot to paint the tips....sorry.

Then this morning I stamped with WnW Noctournal, which is a very deep blue. The IP is RA 110.  Some of the areas I highlighted with China Glaze Swing Baby, which I got for Christmas from my daughter!!  And SV on the top.

I always show my father my manicures, and he does not like them!!!  Today he said " thats kinda pretty, I like that".  Maybe 2012 will be a good year after all.  LOL

Thank you all for stopping by, as usual, comments are welcome!!!!  Have a safe New Years weekend.

New Years Eve Sparkle

Hello all...it has been awhile, sorry :(   Christmas was very busy, good, but glad it is over.
My daughter, the "Queen", went to Denver for NYE and she wanted a new manicure, so of course I did it!!!!
I found this mani on a YouTube video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=dwUpIuDctS8
The Queen loved it, so I give credit to the person that designed it, she did good!!

I put a clear base coat and then a black french tip using Sinful Colors Black on Black.  A thin line of silver sparkle was placed under that, using Pure Ice Beware.   I used IP M60...the little flower and added some "bling" in some areas, a coat of SV, and it was done!!! Hope you like it as much as she did.

Cute and "girly" , sorry about the poor clean up.....my eyes were weary  LOL!!!  Thanks for stopping by!!

Blue Chevron

Well, it is a dreary Sunday afternoon here , so I guess I am in kinda a "blue" mood, hence today's mani.  I decided to try my first tape manicure. Also an untried polish that I have had for awhile, Orly Sweet Peacock.  It is really "foily" looking, is that really a word????  Anyway, I did my clear base coat and then 2 coats of the Sweet Peacock...boy, that is horrible to clean up off  your cuticles :(   I then cut a piece of painters tape and cut that piece in half,   and placed on my nail so the pointed end was towards the tip of my nail...about 2/3rds way up my fingernail.  I used Sinful Colors Black on Black and painted the top 2/3rds of my nail that was not covered by the tape, and removed the tape immediately, making the Chevron.  On my accent nails I made a second Chevron with Orly Luxe.  After looking at them, they needed that "something", which turned out to be a gold stripe.  Then I was happy!!!

Looks like blue foil doesn't it !!

And that is Blue Chevron, all I can say is that I HATE cleaning up glitter.. :(  I hope everyone has a great Monday.  Thanks for coming by!!

GREEN

Good Morning All.....one more week, is everyone ready???  I'm not :(   So today I decided to try to get out of my "color comfort" zone and try green.  Anyone that knows me, knows that I do not like green, so why in the world I purchased a green polish I will never know.  But I did, so here goes...  As usual, a clear base coat, I definately do not want my nails to be stained green!!!  Then 2 coats of Orly Lucky Duck, which is a creme that has very easy application and covered well with 2 coats.  Then I stamped with Konad Black and  M64 IP, and topped with SV.  I am still not sure if I like green or not.
 Kinda pretty for "green".

Sorry about that piece of "fuzz" on my ring finger, I don't know when it hopped on there, I thought I checked before I snapped the photos
Thank you all for looking, have a great Saturday!!  Please leave comments, that is the only way I can get better....thanks   :) :)

FIFTH AVENUE FEATHERS

Hello All!!!!...It has been an amazing weather day here in the midwest, didn't even need a jacket! :)   I purchased a new China Glaze last night, Fifth Avenue.   It is a creme and it very pretty, easy to apply.   Complete coverage with only 2 coats.  I stamped with my Red Angel Plate112, the "feathery"  looking one with a darker shade, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear  Flirt.  And of course ended with SV.  I actually got a compliment in the grocery store this evening...made my day!!!!

And the final product, I love it, very soft looking.

Thanks for stopping by, hope everyone is about ready for the holiday!!!!

Not Another Christmas Mani

This is not another Christmas mani, but a BIRTHDAY mani!!!! Today is my birthday and I decided to do a mani in my favorite color...Purple. :)   I started with my clear base coat and then one coat of Pure Ice Black Rage, which I am not impressed with...very hard application, thick and goopy, but I made it work.  Then 2 coats of Pure Ice Cheatin, which I love...not cheating, but the polish :)  It went on very nicely.  Then I thought it needed "something", so on went the black french tip  and a coat of SV.  So I sparkled all day at work!!

Aren't the sparkles gorgeous?!!   Thank you for coming by, have a good evening.

Sunday Go To Meetin' Mani

Hi everyone, hope all is well with  you on this Sunday.  I wanted something more subdued for church today.
I opted to use Savvy Red Caviar, after a clear base coat, I applied 2 coats of this.  Then I sponged Sinful Colors All About You on the tips, and stamped a candy cane with IP M12 and WnW The Gold and the Beautiful.   Quick and easy...just what I needed today!!!  I hope you all have a good week, thank you for stopping by. :)

Office Christmas Party Mani

Well, it is that time of year again...the office Christmas Party, not really a party, just dinner and fellowship.  So I got a new sweater and needed a mani to go with it!!! I decided to go more "elegant" than fun, and came up with this.

I used my usual clear base coat and then 2 coats of Orly Star Spangled, which is full of alot of sparkles, very holiday looking.  It went on very smoothly, no streaks, the sparkled behaved itself!!

I thought that a thin french tip would look nice, so I used the circular page reinforcers, cut them in half for my guide.  I used Sinful Colors Black on Black, and then a coat of SV.  Quick and easy mani...and I got my elegant look!!!

Thank you for stopping in and taking a look!!! Have a good evening.  :)

Midnight Snowfall

Hello!!!  It is COLDDDD here, and we got a dusting of snow :)  I love snow, everyone thinks I'm crazy..but is sooo beautiful. You know how when you look outside at the streetlight and it is lightly snowing, how it just sparkles?  That is what my latest mani made me think of!!!
I used a clear base coat, then 2 coats of Sinful Colors Black on Black. I used snowflakes from Ip's  BM14 and M59 with Orly Luxe and Art Deco white, which stamps lighter that the Konad Special White Polish.  I was looking for a more "faint" look.

Then I put a coat of Northern Lights top coat...I love this stuff, so pretty!! Then finally a coat of SV.
And the final product......

Thanks for stopping in, as usual, comments are welcome! :)

Hello all, Sundays seem to be "blue" for me, so I thought I might as well wear blue on my nails!!  Todays mani consist of a clear base coat, then 2 coats of NYC #115, Skin Tight Denim Creme

Then I stamped the image of the dove from M52 plate, and what looked to me like little crosses from ip M46 using Konad Special Polish White.

This is the finished product, I was pleased.  I hope everyone has a good Sunday , and thanks again for stopping in, I would love to know what you think!!!
